Something Nice

I was on the shuttle bus (a bus that is provided by my school to travel to other academies in the federation) yesterday and usually there are enough seats for everyone to sit down.  However, yesterday a lot of people decided to get the bus (I'm guessing because it was super cold and I mean who wants to walk in the cold when there is a perfectly warm bus that will drop you off at your destination) and some of the seats were folded over and no one could make them sit up so there we less seats. I was one of the last people to get on where all but two seats were taken. The person in front of me sat down in the empty seat at the front of the bus so I followed my friend to the back of the bus where the other seat was.  I was deciding whether I should stand or to sit  in a broken seat when a guy who I have never met before stood up and offered me his seat. I was a little surprised  because there are only a few guys at my 6th form that I think would offer their seats to a complete stranger. I thanked him and sat down next to my friend while he moved and sat on one of the broken seats.

It made me really happy to know that there are still people who would do something nice for a stranger and I think that the world would be a much better place if we helped eachother out more. Even if it is a small as holding the door open for someone, remember that the little things count and can improve someones day dramatically.
