Lemon Flan recipie

This is how I make my Lemon flan. Whenever my family have people around, they always ask me to make it and they often go up for seconds.

Ingredients:
  • 200g of digestive biscuits
  • 100g of unsalted butter
  • 140ml of double cream
  • condensed milk
  • zest of two lemons
  • juice of 3-4 lemons
Method:

1. Break the biscuits into smallish pieces and put them in a blender and blend to little crumbs.

2. Melt the butter in a microwave and add in the biscuit crumbs. Mix until everything is evenly covered.

3. Grease the tin or use a sheet of baking paper and spread the base so that it is flat and even. I used a removable bottom tin (it makes it a whole lot easier when it comes to serving). Then put it in the fridge.

4. Whisk the cream into stiff peaks. Add in the tin of condensed milk and whisk so that it is all mixed together.

5. Zest the lemons, add it to the mixture and stir.

6. Juice the lemons and slowly add the juice to the mixture while whisking. This will thicken it so it doesn't fall apart when you cut it. You can also add more or less lemons depending on your taste preference.

7. Get the tin out of the fridge and spread the mixture on top of the biscuit. Then put it back in the fridge to set for about 30 minutes or longer.

8. Serve and enjoy :)

The Fault In Our Stars

Today I went to see TFIOS with one of my best friends, Hannah. The film came out yesterday in the UK and I couldn't wait to see it. First we went into ASDA and got a few snacks to share. Hannah bought a pack of cookie and cream Hershey's Kisses and they were soooo good!! I never had Hershey's Kisses before and I can seriously say I loved them so if you haven't tried them you REALLY need too.

I forgot to take a picture but this is what they look like :)

A lot of people say that they think the book is better, but I don't really see how you can compare a film to a book. I have read the book over and over again and each time it has made me laugh, cry and smile. And nothing compares to that book smell (hopefully some of you must know what I'm on about) and the book is also written so beautifully. I loved the movie for the same reasons, it made me laugh, cry and smile. And the acting was amazing, I don't think anyone could have done a better job and I couldn't imagine the characters to look any different either. So if you were thinking about going to see the movie or reading the book I 100% recommend you do so.

It's also safe to say that I have a little crush on Ansel Elgort, who wouldn't?!

Healthy Summer Salad

Lately I have found myself eating this delicious healthy salad that takes no time at all to make and perfect for the hot weather and it's just to good not to share with you. So here it is:

Ingredients:
  • Italian leaf salad bag from Lidl (you don't have to use this, just as long as you gather up some of your favourite green leaves)
  • Feta cheese
  • Olive oil
  • Malt vinegar
  • A pinch of salt
First put as much green leaves as you want, I normally put around 30-40g, on a plate. Then drizzle some olive oil and malt vinegar over it. Take a pinch of salt and sprinkle it over the salad. Measure out how much feta cheese you want and either cut it into small cubes or get a fork and mash it into small chunks, like I do :) Then add that to your salad, give it a mix and voilĂ .
Feel free to change up the recipe and or if you have any salad recipes make sure to leave your idea in the comments, I would love to try it out.
